Scunthorpe Barbarians 90 v Leeds Akkies A 0
This weekend saw Leeds Travel to league leaders Scunthorpe in what proved to be a very tough day. Ravaged by injury and unavailability, a scratch side was sent to maintain Leeds Akkies outstanding record of never scratching a fixture.
The Akkies showed great determination and guts to carry on for the full period in what turned out to be a very strong Scunthorpe side. It was Leeds however who started the strongest with a disallowed try in the first 5 minutes of a neat kick from Ade Tallon. However after this as the score would suggest, it was one way traffic for the remaining 70 mins with the extra cohesion and power of the Barbarians proving too much for the Akkies to cope with.
